What is e-liquid?

E-liquid is a solution of propylene glycol (PG) and/or vegetable glycerin (VG), optional nicotine amounts, and food-grade flavourings. The solution vaporizes when heated and translates flavour and throat hit when inhaled to simulate smoking.

What’s the difference between nicotine & tobacco?

Nicotine and tobacco are separate things. Tobacco in traditional cigarettes is dried leaves that contain nicotine naturally. Nicotine as a liquid may be extracted from many different sources and then added into a PG/VG base along with flavourings. Even tomatoes contain small amounts of nicotine![

Who should not vape?

Nicotine affects the body like caffeine–it’s a stimulant and constricts the blood vessels. If you are pregnant or have any other condition which may be affected by PG, VG, nicotine, or food flavourings, see your doctor first. A small portion of the population is sensetive to PG.

What if I get e-liquid on my hands/clothes?

Our e-liquid is water soluble and easily washes off your hands and clothes. If you rub your eye after handling e-liquid, flush it thoroughly with cool water. Be sure to keep e-liquid away from children and pets.

How is nicotine measured in e-liquid?

Nicotine is measured in milligrams (mg) per milliliter (mL). Compared to mg per cigarette, you will take in much less nicotine while vaping but still feel satisfied.

How much nicotine do I want?

Choose a strength based on comfort in your throat (“throat hit”) when inhaling. If you’re vaping too high, your throat will be irritated or you will cough.

Roughly, we can guess at a strength based on the cigarettes you smoke. For an ultra light smoker, 6mg is usually comfortable. If you are a fulltime smoker, 12mg is generally just right. This is based on todays hardware offcourse.

What is propylene glycol (PG)? What does vegetable glycerin (VG) do?

Wikipedia or other reference sites can give you the full lowdown on PG. You will find it in many foods, medicines, and toiletries, so you are already consuming it on a daily basis. “Smoke” at concerts and such is created by vaporizing PG. It is “generally recognized as safe” to inhale by the FDA. However, small portion of the population is sensetive to PG.

You may be puzzled that PG is also anti-freeze. Most anti-freeze products were made of ethylene glycol many years ago. PG is now favored because it is dramatically less toxic than EG. However, if you’re still opposed to inhaling anti-freeze, then by that same logic you shouldn’t ingest salt either.

PG is responsible for transporting the flavouring mainly but also contributes to throat hit. VG produces more visible vapor than PG but mutes flavour and throat hit. PG is thinner than VG; the ratio of PG and VG will affect the wicking properties of your e-liquid,

Generally, standard pre-manufactured atomizers work well with 70/30. Vapers who use more advanced gear such as RBAs and RDAs for building their own atomizers often prefer higher amounts of VG.

What if I’m sensetive to propylene glycol?

A small portion of the population is sensetive to PG. The symptoms are usually throat irritation and/or ulcers in the mouth. Most people who have this sensetivity are already aware due to PG’s prevalence in everyday foods and toiletries. However, a person can develop an sensetivity to something at any time in life.
